Faul and Wad, Vertue

Faul & Wad return have a new release out. It follows up their previous track Wild Love. It is called Tokyo and it features  fresh talent Vertue, providing their trademark uplifting sound once again - a perfect tonic for the cold winter months. Following previous successes such as their hit collaboration with PNAU ‘Changes’ in 2014, which has amassed over 160 million Spotify streams and was used by Mercedes-Benz in the advert for their C-Class range, Faul & Wad have gone on to perform at the likes of TomorrowWorld Atlanta, Pukkelpop Belgium and Solidays in France, and with ‘TOKYO’, the French pair are set to further enhance their burgeoning reputations.

The track centres around luscious piano chords that are present in the breakdown, providing the backbone around which the song is built. The catchy vocal is the standout element, providing an upbeat atmosphere before switching up into a pitched lead which contributes to the melody line and gives an undeniably pop feel. This is all underpinned by a round organ bassline that ensures the track maintains its dancefloor credentials.
