Snow Wife

Heavily influenced by multiple genres including pop, alternative and rap music, developed with her close collaborators slush puppy and Jason Hahs, and heavy hitters such as Dr. Luke, KBeaZy and Rocco Did it Again!, SNOW WIFE’s debut project QUEEN DEGENERATE is out today, September 22 under independent publishing company Prescription Songs and label counterpart Amigo Records.

Listen to SNOW WIFE’s QUEEN DEGENERATE debut mixtape:

The viral and sensational dancer-turned-songwriter SNOW WIFE flaunts her musical versatility among the mixtape’s seven tracks. Kicking off with “HIT IT” featuring Big Boss Vette which was released earlier this week, the Houston native who now calls LA home dives into a variety of party-ready confections in the name of sex, fun and fantasy. QUEEN DEGENERATE wraps with SNOW’s single “AMERICAN HORROR SHOW” which on its own has garnered over 16 million streams across all streaming platforms, reached #2 on Spotify’s “Viral 50 USA”playlist and landed her on Spotify editorial playlist Beast Mode and the cover of their DOPE AF and alternative pop playlist, SALT, just to shout out a few highlights. Its video has received nearly five million views in two months.

Tracklist and some words from SNOW WIFE on QUEEN DEGENERATE:

1.“HIT IT” showcases my voyage from hyperpop niche rap into the commercial field of pop leaning rap. Given this direction, it only felt natural to call on Big Boss Vette to tie in this new global aesthetic.

2.“FUCK” is meant to be a queer anthem in my discography that I felt was necessary for my debut. It punches light into sexual openness and is aesthetically an homage to my favorite 2000s pop fantasies.

3.“ALL NIGHT” is my camp rendition of an old western saloon bar love story with a modern twist. A main focal point for me with this track was to showcase my vocal character range and intricate melodies in modern pop music.

4.“ON FIRE” is meant to capture the feeling I got when I first moved to California and felt the wind on a drive over PCH during sunset. It conveys a feeling of being young and free but nostalgic and wise in overtones.

5.“I LOVE DRUGS” was created as an alternate universe to the world of QUEEN DEGENERATE, showing consequences to coping with emotions with partying, sex & surface level relationships.

6.“GLOW” is about a female in her young 20s living out her rage fantasy. It is dirty, sketchy, trashy and psychedelic in nature - a true party club banger.

7.“AMERICAN HORROR SHOW” is on surface level a song about sex, domination and female power alternately having a meaning of a cry for fame and adoration in the most desperate sense.
